No-KYC Monero exchanges

Most large exchanges have delisted Monero, so a Monero exchange today usually means an instant swap: it converts another coin into XMR, or XMR into another coin, without an account. You paste a receiving address, send your coins and the service pays out. Peer-to-peer platforms and atomic swaps are the other way to buy XMR, and they are compared further down.

The risk sits on the side you send. Bitcoin, Ether and stablecoins are screened by many services and by the exchanges they source liquidity from, and a flagged deposit can be held until you provide documents. The table below shows, for each service, where its liquidity comes from and what its terms say about screening, ID and refunds.

Before you send

  1. Use your own wallet address. Have the XMR paid to a wallet you control, never to an exchange account.
  2. Read the row, not the homepage. "No KYC" on a landing page does not override terms that allow a hold.
  3. Start small. Send a test amount first, then split a large swap into several.
  4. Keep the order ID. If a swap stalls, the order ID and transaction hash are what support will ask for.
  5. Check the incident record. Every documented hold is on the listing, with its outcome.

Questions

Monero exchanges: common questions

Is there a Monero exchange with no KYC?

Yes. Most large exchanges delisted Monero, but 85 instant swaps and aggregators on this page trade XMR without an account. Some still reserve the right to ask for ID if a deposit is flagged; the ID column shows which, taken from each service's own terms.

Where can I buy XMR?

Swap another coin for it on one of the exchanges above, buy it peer to peer with cash or a bank transfer, or use an atomic swap from Bitcoin. The buy page lists every route, ranked by Safety grade.

How do I swap to Monero without KYC?

Pick a swap service that supports XMR, paste a Monero address from your own wallet, send the coin you are swapping and wait for the payout. No account is needed. 67 instant swap services and 18 aggregators on this page handle Monero.

Which Monero swap is the safest?

GhostSwap has the highest Safety grade among Monero swap services listed here, at 8.4 out of 10. The grade is built from custody, liquidity source, track record and incident history. Check the listing before sending a large amount.

Can a Monero swap be frozen?

Swapping to Monero can be. The coin you send, such as Bitcoin or USDT, is on a public ledger, and the service or its liquidity partner may screen it. If it is flagged, the swap is held and documents are requested. Swapping from Monero is harder to screen, because Monero deposits carry no visible history.

Is there a Monero swap with no middleman?

Yes. Atomic swaps between Bitcoin and Monero settle between two people with no custodian, and peer-to-peer platforms hold funds in escrow the operator cannot spend alone. They take longer than an instant swap and need more setup.

What is the cheapest way to swap to Monero?

Compare the amount you receive, not the fee line: instant swaps build their margin into the rate. The live rates page shows what several services pay out for the same amount at the same moment.
