What SwapGate is
SwapGate is an instant crypto-to-crypto swap service: the user enters an amount and a recipient address, sends coins to a one-time deposit address and receives the payout. Its terms say exchanges are carried out through a third-party exchange service and that anti-money-laundering and know-your-customer procedures may be applied to particular users, addresses and transactions. The AML policy states that a transaction scoring above 40% risk, or carrying labels such as mixer, gambling or sanctions, may be frozen for an indefinite period until full identity verification is completed. The same policy excludes EU and EEA residents and the terms exclude the United States and a list of other countries. No operating company is named on the pages reviewed.
