What Relai is
Relai is a bitcoin-only mobile app that buys and sells bitcoin against CHF and EUR and delivers it to a self-custodial wallet created on the user's device. It is run by Relai AG in Zurich, a VQF member, and by Relai EU SASU in Paris, which the site says is registered under MiCA with the French regulator. The homepage tells users to complete a verification before their first purchase, and the support guide to signing up walks through a passport or national identity card scan and a selfie check as part of onboarding. Older limits for purchases without verification no longer appear on the pages read.
