About Ledger Wallet (formerly Ledger Live)

Ledger Wallet, formerly Ledger Live, is the desktop and mobile companion app for Ledger hardware wallets, published by Ledger SAS of Paris. Private keys stay on the Ledger device and the app needs no account or email; its terms say Ledger does not store or have access to the user's crypto assets or private keys. Buying, selling, swapping and staking are offered through third-party providers, and the terms (last updated 4 November 2025) warn that these providers may apply KYC or know-your-transaction procedures that can delay transactions or, in limited cases, freeze funds. An optional transaction check sends unsigned transactions to third-party simulation providers. The app's monorepo is public on GitHub under the MIT licence.
