What Duck.ai is
Duck.ai is DuckDuckGo's interface for chatting with third-party AI models, including models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Mistral and open models hosted by Tinfoil. The help pages say all chats are anonymised: metadata such as the IP address is removed before a prompt reaches the model provider, so requests appear to come from DuckDuckGo. By default the company does not record or store chats, recent chats are kept locally on the device, and providers agree to delete prompts after replying and never to train on them, with limited exceptions for legal and safety reasons. Use is free with a daily limit; paid Plus and Pro subscriptions raise the limits and unlock more models.
