About Particl Marketplace

Particl Marketplace is a decentralized buy-and-sell marketplace that runs inside the Particl Desktop app over a peer-to-peer network, paid in the PART privacy coin (which can be obtained on the BasicSwap DEX for BTC or XMR). There are no accounts with the operator: users create market identities locally. Every purchase uses Particl's two-party escrow, where buyer and seller both lock a deposit and funds are released only when both agree, with no third-party arbiter. Listings are moderated by users flagging and voting with coins rather than by staff. The desktop client (GPL-2.0) and core (MIT) are published on GitHub; the docs describe the marketplace as beta.
