The overview
MyMonero was a wallet and is no longer operating. The site states MyMonero ended its wallet service on 6 January 2026 and directs users to restore their seed in Cake Wallet (https://mymonero.com).
MyMonero was a Monero light wallet available on the web, desktop and mobile that operated from 2014. Its light-wallet design stored users' view keys on its servers so balances could be shown without running a node. The site now states that MyMonero has ended its wallet service: the service went offline on 6 January 2026, balances can no longer be viewed and transactions can no longer be sent, and users are told to restore their seed phrase in Cake Wallet. The original announcement said all server data, including stored view keys, would be destroyed within 30 days of the sunset and that no view keys or history would be shared with Cake Wallet. Its client code remains public on GitHub under the BSD-3-Clause licence.
