What Envoy is
Envoy is a Bitcoin mobile wallet for iOS and Android from Foundation Devices, Inc. that also acts as the companion app for its Passport hardware wallets. Keys are held on the phone or on Passport, and its Magic Backups feature stores an end-to-end encrypted backup without an email, password or personal information. Traffic can be routed over Tor. The documentation says the in-app purchase option is currently unavailable because the partnership with its former provider ended; the Buy screen instead points to peer-to-peer methods, Azteco vouchers and a map of Bitcoin ATMs. The code is public on GitHub; its licence was not confirmed during this review.
