What Peach Bitcoin is

Peach Bitcoin is a mobile peer-to-peer bitcoin marketplace run by a Swiss company, operating since 2022 with an open-source app. Its site advertises trading with no registration and no verification where local law permits, and says it does not market to EU or EEA users. According to press coverage of a company announcement dated 31 August 2026, Peach Bitcoin introduced interim rules from 1 September 2026 after it received a regulatory letter saying its compliance arrangement should be requalified. Sellers must be KYC-verified, whitelisted or have a sufficient trade record to post sell offers; purchases are capped at CHF 500 per transaction; and the platform's escrow co-signature is paused. The company described the measures as temporary while it appeals.
