What Firefox Relay is
Firefox Relay is Mozilla's email-masking service. It creates masked addresses that forward messages to the user's true email address, so the real address does not have to be shared with every website. The FAQ says Relay requires an account with a verified email address, limits how many masks can be generated per day, and stores emails only when the service is down, never for more than three days. Delivery relies on Amazon SES, which blocks spam and malware. A paid Relay Premium tier adds replying from a masked address and blocking promotional emails, and Mozilla also markets phone-number masking. The service's code is published in Mozilla's fx-private-relay repository on GitHub.
