What addy.io is

addy.io is an open-source email forwarding service whose source repository still carries its earlier name, AnonAddy. Users pick a username and can then create aliases on the fly, switching off any alias that starts receiving spam. The FAQ says emails are stored only after a failed delivery, and only if the user enables that option, and that the main server is in Amsterdam with a backup mail server in Warsaw. Forwarded mail can be encrypted with the user's OpenPGP key. Plans run from a free tier to Lite at $1 per month billed yearly and Pro at $3 per month billed yearly; payment is by card or PayPal, or by cryptocurrency for yearly plans. The application can also be self-hosted.
