Buy a domain with Bitcoin
Registries require a registrant for every domain, and WHOIS privacy only hides it from the public. Some registrars accept crypto and either ask for very little or register the name on your behalf, so your details never reach the registry.
4 domain registrars on this page accept Bitcoin. They are ranked by Safety grade, and each row shows what the provider's terms say about identity checks. When a registrar holds the domain in its own name, it is the legal owner on paper and you hold usage rights by contract. Read how that contract ends.

How to pay for a domain with Bitcoin
- Hold the coins yourself. Pay from a wallet you control, not from an exchange account that carries your name.
- Pick by the terms. Use the KYC column: "Never" means the terms rule ID out, "On risk flag" means they allow it.
- Sign up with as little as it takes. Where an email is required, use one that is not tied to you, such as an alias.
- Pay the exact invoice. Send the amount shown, to the address shown, before the invoice expires. Underpaid invoices are the most common support problem.
- Start with the shortest term. Refunds in crypto are rare, so test the service for a month before paying for a year.
What the payment reveals
Bitcoin payments are public and permanent. If the coins came from an exchange that knows you, the payment can be traced back to you, so use coins bought without ID or pay over Lightning where it is offered.
